Acceptance of Terms & Use of Website
By placing an order with Handcrafted by Harriet online (www.handcraftedbyharriet.com), you are agreeing to accept the following terms &conditions. Handcrafted by Harriet reserve the right to amend or vary these terms & conditions at any time and without notice to the customer. The customer’s continued use of this website and/or ordering products shall be deemed to be acceptance of such change. If any of the terms & conditions is deemed invalid, void or unenforceable for any reason, it will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining terms & conditions.
Postage and packaging costs are as followings: Up to £100 = £6; £101-£150 = £10; £151 - £200 = £15; Over £201 = £20
Orders will be sent using Royal Mail or MyHermes. For areas which fall outside of Handcrafted by Harriets usual delivery zone (i.e. Scottish Highlands, Ireland, Channel Islands and anywhere outside of the UK mainland), I will provide a quotation for delivery. If you would like to collect your goods in person please select this option at the checkout and email me to discuss when is most convenient.
As products are handmade to order I will use my best endeavours to deliver standard items within 2-3 weeks. If the item is in stock, delivery may be sooner. If an order is urgent then please inform me and I will do my best to speed things up for you. Delivery timings for bespoke products will be quoted at the time of order and can take up to 4 weeks.
If I have a customer's email address I will notify the customer by e-mail once the goods are despatched from the Handcrafted by Harriet workshop. If there is going to be a delay in delivery, I will advise the customer by email at the earliest opportunity. If, due to circumstances beyond my control, a product cannot be made after an order has been placed and accepted, then I will inform the customer by email and give them the option to select an alternative product to the equivalent value, or receive a full refund.
Returns & Refunds
Cancellations must be received in writing within 24 hours of the order being placed.
Faulty goods will be exchanged or fully refunded. Please contact Handcrafted by Harriet within 48 hours of delivery to allow me to make a claim with the delivery service and retain all original packaging for inspection. I will of course pay for the return postage and will agree the method of posting with you.
Non-faulty goods must be returned within 7 days of receiving the item. The cost of the goods will be refunded, as long as the goods are still in the exact condition that they left the workshop in. The cost of return postage will not be refunded unless the reason for return is due to a mistake by Handcrafted by Harriet. After 7 days you will be deemed to have accepted the goods and no returns will be permitted thereafter. *Please note that bespoke orders can not be returned.*
Handcrafted by Harriet is not responsible for safe return of goods and will not provide a refund for items that do not reach the appropriate delivery address when being returned by a customer. I suggest that customers return the goods via recorded or special delivery or another secure method. Items must be returned to Handcrafted by Harriet only and not left with a neighbouring property.
Secure Ordering & Payment
All prices quoted on the website are in £ sterling and are inclusive of VAT at the standard rate of 20%.
The customer shall select from the products advertised on the website by following the procedure set out on the website. Orders can also be placed by phone, email or in person (see contact page for details) and payment can be made in cash or via bank transfer too.
An order is deemed concluded once received and once payment has been accepted by Handcrafted by Harriet. Acceptance of the order is provided to the customer by an e-mail from Handcrafted by Harriet. Payment for products will be made by credit, debit card or Paypal, using the online secure payment service. Whilst Handcrafted by Harriet will use its best endeavours, and has been advised by Stripe, that use of the system is secure, the customer accepts that Handcrafted by Harriet accepts no responsibility or liability for any failure in the secure online payment system.
Any feedback, customer enquiries or potential complaints should be directed by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. I will endeavour to respond to customers queries or complaints within 24 hours.
No Guarantees and Limitation of Liability
Whilst Handcrafted by Harriet is confident that the content on its website is accurate and the quality of the products to the satisfaction of its customers, Handcrafted by Harriet does not guarantee that any product will be exactly what the customer ‘believes it to be’ or ‘fit for any particular purpose’. In particular, Handcrafted by Harriet do not guarantee that the colour of the product or the exact design seen on the website will accurately reflect the actual product as is. The customer acknowledges that the product is being ordered online and on the basis of viewing a picture of product on the website. All photos and descriptions including specifications and advertising on the website are issued and published for the sole purpose of giving an approximate idea for product described.
In particular, other than return of products under the returns policy in these terms, Handcrafted by Harriet shall not be liable for any delays, damage during transit or any direct or indirect damages, loss, costs or any other expenses as a result of the customer placing an order. An order accepted by Handcrafted by Harriet is taken from the customer as an agreement by the customer that they agree to these terms & conditions.
Handcrafted by Harriet will not disclose any information on any customer to any third party other than to process the orders and deliver products to the customer. Handcrafted by Harriet will not retain details of customers’ credit cards and will not contact the customer by e-mail to request personal financial information or data. If the customer receives any such request, the customer is advised not to respond.
Intellectual Property Rights
The customer acknowledges that all intellectual property rights contained in the website and associated promotional material, such as brochures, belong to Handcrafted by Harriet. The customer is not entitled to incorporate any part of the website or associated promotional materials in any other work or publication without the prior written consent of Handcrafted by Harriet.
